I’ve been a fan of Alessi holsters for a long time. In my opinion, they make the best ankle holsters available. I have four of them (for J-frame, K-frame, Kahr, and Glock) and I carry my backup gun in one every day at work. I also regularly use their Talon inside the waistband holster (which was at one time the issue holster for the CIA) for both my Glock and Kahr. It is the only “clip” type IWB holster that I’ve ever used that will actually stay clipped to the pants or belt during the draw.
I recently purchased a new gun (S&W 386 PD) for which I have been having difficulty finding a good holster. It’s an L-Frame Smith and Wesson snubnose with a 2 ½ “ barrel…not many manufacturers make holsters for such a strange little gun.
I finally found what I was looking for on the Alessi website and placed an order. Alessi hand makes every single holster, so the wait time is 8-10 weeks. The quality is worth the wait.
My holster arrived last week. It looked great; exactly what I was waiting for. Except for one thing…my gun didn’t fit! They mistakenly sent me a holster for a J-frame revolver rather than the holster I needed for my new L-frame. Yesterday, I sent an email to Alessi explaining what happened and requesting instructions to return my order.
Within 15 minutes, I received a phone call from Tom Kulwicki, the owner of the company. He apologized for the mistake and promised to make me a new holster immediately. He even let me keep the holster they had mistakenly sent.
In a world where good customer service is a dying commodity, Alessi Holsters truly counters the trend. Never would I have expected to have my problem dealt with so quickly and effectively. Alessi has a customer for life.
