I received a bunch of messages from my readers today asking if my email updates and RSS feeds were jacked up. Yes, they are.
I use the free program Feedburner for both email updates and RSS feeds. This program is now owned by Google, but they are no longer doing customer support on it.
I checked my Feedburner account and found that since October 10, only 300-600 of my 9,000 subscribers were getting the feeds and emails. I have no idea why some people are still getting them and some people aren’t.
I resynched the feed and got an error message stating that my feed couldn’t be sent because I have “improper characters” in the text. I haven’t changed anything with regards to my text or the way I compose my articles.
My brilliant web guy is on it, but I have no idea how long things will be screwed up. I might have to eventually migrate to another service program.
I’m not a twitter fan. I don’t peruse the site at all except for posting my articles. I only do that because some of my readers prefer getting their news in that format. Don’t be offended if I don’t follow you in return when you follow me.
My Facebook is my personal page, but I share my articles there whenever I publish one. If you want to use Facebook, please hit the follow button rather than sending me a friend request (unless you are an actual friend of mine). All my article posts are set to “public” and followers will be able to see them.
Hopefully, things will be fixed soon.
