Philippine Restaurant Bombing

Written by Greg Ellifritz

Terrorists bombed a restaurant last Sunday in the Philippines, killing six people and injuring 48.  The restaurant was filled with doctors and medical workers who had just finished attending a health care conference nearby.  Check out the link below for more details.

6 killed in Cagayan de Oro explosion

From the article:

” investigators were looking for a man who put down a backpack on a chair and left  shortly before the blast.”

Please pay close attention to anyone around you carrying a backpack.  In almost all the most recent large terrorist bombings (like Madrid, London, and Boston), the terrorists hid their bombs in backpacks or luggage.  They don’t look out of place and can be easily carried in a public location without arousing suspicion.

If you see an unattended backpack or see someone drop a backpack and leave the area, don’t waste any time.  Get out of the area as quickly as possible and call the police. Don’t let denial or rationalization get you killed.
