Pics and Video from Last Weekend’s ECQ Gunfighting Class

Written by: Greg Ellifritz

Last weekend Buckeye Firearms hosted my Extreme Close Quarters Gunfighting class at the Dillon Sportsman Center range in central Ohio.  I had a full class of 20 hard working students.

The Extreme Close Quarters Gunfighting course has been my most popular class offering this year.  It covers techniques for gunfighting within arms’ reach of your assailant, retention shooting positions, handgun disarms and retention, and empty hand skills to use as a bridge to access your firearm.  I get a lot of questions about the class.  Here is a short video shot of me talking about some empty hand physical techniques to use against and armed individual and some photos for the class.  Both should give any potential students an idea of what they might experience in a class like this one.

The lesson I am teaching here is in the context of options for an unarmed defender involved in a physical struggle with an attacker who is attempting to draw a weapon.
