Yes, Double Action Revolvers Are Still Viable Personal Defense Tools…But You Need To Train With Them

We can be all scientific and talk about a “U-shaped Utility Curve,” but my friend Darryl Bolke describes the revolver best.  It’s a great “fire extinguisher gun.”  If you really don’t care to do a whole lot of work and just want something you can throw in a closet for an emergency (like a fire extinguisher), the revolver is your gun.

Identifying Good Training

“The best instructors are those who have a passion for learning and experience. They aren’t afraid to branch out, to approach new topics, and to see how their skills serve them when they’re outside their wheelhouse. Find an instructor with a combination of experience and training, and make sure those things align with what they’re teaching.”
